Participation in Household Flood Plans
Hello All,
We received a request to share information about the Household Flood Plans project. If you are able to help, please contact Fiona Henderson directly. Her email address is at the end of this message.
'Could you give your time, experience, and feedback to help develop essential and inclusive flood support resources for Scotland?
A new research project has launched that aims to develop a household flood plan template for Scottish households. To achieve this, we would like to design and develop the household flood plan template with individuals and/or communities in Scotland, including those directly and indirectly impacted by flooding.
Participants in this study will be invited to evaluate examples of potential template content, language, design etc. in an interview or workshop format.
Participation is completely voluntary and both participation and answers given will be confidential. Participants may withdraw from the study at any time without any consequences.
This project is funded by the Scottish Government, through the Centre of Expertise for Water. Leading researchers involved from Glasgow Caledonian University, the James Hutton Institute, and the University of Glasgow.
Interested individuals, community groups and networks can contact: fiona.henderson@gcu.ac.uk'.
You can learn more about this project from a document attached to this email.

The interview will be a single one-to-one interview, taking place online, with the interview lasting approximately 45-60 minutes. The creative workshop will also be a single two-hour in-person workshop, with an option to submit a contribution digitally. The collaborative mapping workshop will be a two-hour in-person walking workshop. If walking is not accessible, there will also be an option to submit a contribution to the map digitally.
This research has been approved by the University of Glasgow College of Science and Engineering ethics committee.
If you have any further questions regarding the research and possibilities to either take part or collaborate, please contact me via email at: r.hawkins.1@research.gla.ac.uk
