Litter Pick

You are probably aware that we try and do a litter pick in the spring, around Kirkton Village. It is usually on a Sunday morning

Suggested dates are Sunday February 22nd or Sunday 1st March, or perhaps both days. Litter pickers and bags are supplied by D&G Council. If anyone is interested and has a preferred date, please could they let me know

Heritage Group

Until fairly recently there was a 'Heritage Group' in Kirkmahoe which produced some booklets on local history and arranged occasional talks. We have inherited quite an archive from the late Morag Williams and now that the upstairs room in Kirkton Hall has been upgraded we would like to try and sort the material which we have and create a pubicly accessible collection. We are thinking of having a meeting on Wednesday March 4th at 7.30pm  to see who is interested and how a heritage group could be taken forward.
